Chicago

Great, greater Chicago or clean cleaner chicago...I think these two terms a best to describe the Cíty of Chicago. You can see a lot of amazing things in that City. The 3rd world biggest building the Sears Tower in West Chicago with a high of 527m. But there are also other interesting places such as the Navy Pier, The John Henncock Buliding and of corse And of corse, all the things you can buy in Macys you can buy on Michigan Avenue. But that is not all what Chicago is about. Chicago is the cleanest million people city I have ever been. If you are there it almost as clean as in a small and pretty town in the landscape. And the smell is also very good because the very big Michigan Lake which is almost a sea makes the air clean and fresh. I started talking about Lake Michigan so lets go an with the great Chicago tourist places. Lake Michigan is huge nice and very pretty. It gives Chicago the nut on the ice. At the Lake there is Navy Pier. Once used by US Navy is it now a verly nice only tourist place with parties bands and fireworks at the evening. Of course Downtown and all the shopping places are cool. But I already talkt about that. Other very interesting places are some parks at the Lake and of corse the Sears Tower. Very huge very tall and very full. It takes alot of time to get on top of it, cause you are not the onliest person wanna see the city from the 3rd tallest building in the world. Chicago also has some famous museums and of corse theatres. Chiocago is THE theatre city! You have a lot of different Theatres and you can watch all the famous Musicals first in Chicago.
Of corse Chicago has all the good Hotels like Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, Marriot. I and of corse the family we staied in the Intercontinental at Michigan Avenue. One of the expensivest and luxerioused Hotels in Chicago. But I just wannted to say that to make ou jealous...Im sorry! You find everything in Chicago and it is so amazing to visit all the places you may be know from movies or the TV. I love it. Chicago is the best, nices and greatest city I have ever been too. And Im honest and that is real. Visit that great city. Just do it, now!
one short interestig thing to end with: did you know that the german city Hamburg makes advert in Chicago???? If you dont believe go to my picture blog and check it out!!!

The host family

After the few days in N.Y. I was flying to Indeanapolis to get picked up from my host family! I arrive there at about 5 pm. We staied at the airport for another 5 hours cause we were waiting for my "brother" David. He arrived 5 hours later than expected caused he missed his plane in Philadelphia but that was ok. It was one and a half hour car diving from Indeanapolis, Indiana to Danville, Illinois. So we arrived at our new home at 11.30 pm. On that dax we went to bed immediately. At the next day, it was Saturday, we packed out and saw the whole city. They said that their mall with more than 30 different srores is prety small. I thought for Germany it would be very big. On Sunday we went to church and we went eating in a very good pancake restaurant.
The family consists of Tom, the dad, Sherry, mum, David, the guy from Hunguary and Buddy the dog. We are living in: You really thought I will tell that in the Blogspot!!! Oh now there are you wrong mate!!! But if you wanna know the adress just leave ma a message or an e-mail. And than if I want Ill send you the adress so that you can send me postcards and stuff.
Ok I think thats it. The next blog will be released is about the school. Dont know wehn Im gonna release that one, cause schol starts at Thursday and than Im really busy.

N.Y. City

It was on 08/08/2006 when I started my U.S. high school year. I first flew with some 60 people to NYC. We arrived at JFK and it was pretty amazing seeing that really big city in real and not only by the media! After a 2 hours drive trought N.Y. to our hotel we all were very sleepy. So we all went to bed by thinking on the next day N.Y.C. guide tour.
We started that tour at about 1 pm with a 30 minute drive to Manhatten. In Manhatten there was a guide coming on our bus. She explained all the different places and interesting things in the city to us. And I can promise that N.Y.C. is very interesting!!!!!!!! I saw all the well known tourist places like Central Park, Rockefeller Center, The Plaza, The Trump Tours, Ground Zero, Broadway, Times Square (at night!!!!!!!) n so on. It was very interesting. And of course we went up the Empire State. I think that was almost the best part of the tour. After that we had dinner hat N.Y. habour.
I also saw the houses were Britney Spears has an appartment and where Madonna lived.
That was a relly amazing, interesting and breathtaking day!!!

08/10/2006: We were just sitting in the hotel with several meetings and workshops to get prepared for our exchange year!

08/11/2006: I was flying over Chicago to my host family. I arrived there at about 5 pm.

That was N.Y. Just visit that great city!!!!!!!
